What extensions do you use?

We use European and Russian Remy extensions sourced from a local Australian supplier.
Will my hair fall out?
​
In short, no!
In your consult we will ensure your hair is suitable for extensions, take note of hair and scalp health and monitor it throughout your extension journey to prevent hair loss.
Ensuring your extensions are not too tight will also prevent hair loss.
How many grams will I need?
​
If you're just wanting to add volume to your hair, 50g (a half head) is suitable for most hair types.
If you want length 150g is suitable for most people but this will be assessed in your free consult.
How often do I need maintenance?
​
Every 6-8 weeks.
Can I swim with my extensions in?
​
Yes!
We do recommend you wear "swim-safe" hair styles like braids. If you want to take extra good care of your extensions, we also recommend putting a hair mask in beforehand.
What shampoo and conditioner do I use?
​
Most moisturing shampoos and conditioners are great for prolonging the life of your extensions. We currently recommend the Pantene Moisture Renewal line.
How long will my extensions last?
​
Generally, when taken care of, the keratin bonds holding your extensions together will last up to a year.
They will however gradually get shorter as breakage occurs.
How do I take care of my extensions?
​
We recommend;
Washing roughly twice a week.
Using a hair mask once a week.
Ensuring the roots aren't left wet for prolonged periods of time.
Using heat protectant when using heat styling tools, this includes hairdryers.
